Sprains, hamstring tears are most common sports injuries. Injuries can eventually lead from a minor sprain to tears of joints particularly in the knee. Muscle strains or tears or tendonitis are also common. Injuries like Ankle sprain, knee injuries- ACL tear or tennis elbow are amongst the most common injuries reported till date.
How do you know it?
You will know if your injury is serious by the symptoms. If you’re experiencing any of these symptoms stop exercising and consult your doctor:
• Sharp Pain
• Consistent Pain
• Weakness or Limping
If you have an ongoing or a new injury, here are some tips:
RICE can be used to promote healing to a great extent:
1.REST: Avoid any motion that can cause you discomfort
2. ICE: Apply Ice on the affected part for atleast 10 minutes
3. COMPRESSION: Compression which means applying pressure, with the use of a compression sleeve or stocking being helpful
4. ELEVATE: By keeping your injury elevated or above your heart can cause you relief
Getting back on the ground-
